What’s On

The Bream Creek Show has many attractions that help make our show a great family day out. Come along and see some traditional agricultural skills that are still in use today. You may see working yard dogs, blade and electric shearing, spinners and weavers, draught horses, bullocks, country craft, baby animals, wood chopping and young cattle handler demonstrations.

The beauty of a show such as ours is that you are able to observe what is going on in the arena from almost any point in the show grounds. It is commonplace to see bullock driving, wood chopping, lolly scrambles, blunnie tossing, lawnmower racing, giant pumpkin judging, machinery demonstrations and a whole lot more as the day progresses.

We try to uphold the philosophy of ensuring that kids have fun through participation. Our entertainment does not rely on costly rides to have a good time. The kids can have a go at Crazy Bikes, pat baby animals in the Animal Nursery, ride a pony, have their face painted, be part of the Make Believe sessions, take part in the Lolly Scramble or the Blunnie Toss. There may even be egg tossing or hay bale throwing. They could take part in the “Rural Kids on Show competition. This is a modern twist for a traditional event previously named Showgirl and Showboy competition. Whatever is available, you can guarantee that the kids will have a good time.
